Meet Our Team

Jennifer Dreher, Founder and Executive Director

(she/her/hers)

Team | Everyday Activism | Learn What Activism Is & How To Help | Take Action On Social Justice

Jennifer is a seasoned nonprofit leader and philanthropic advisor with a passion for social justice and transformative impact.  Her broad experience at the grassroots, NGO, and UN levels, and as a direct service provider, systems change advocate, and funder shapes her work and informs her activism. She is a globally recognized expert on human trafficking/modern slavery and its intersections with women and girls’ rights, sexual and reproductive health and rights, migration and immigrant rights, labor rights, youth rights, economic justice, and racial justice.

She has lived and worked in the U.S., Australia, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, and Sierra Leone, and has led programs throughout the U.S., Africa, Asia, and Latin America.  Jennifer loves traveling around the world and across the U.S., learning about — and being inspired by — organizations and individuals working to create a more just and equitable world. She currently spends most of her time in the Dominican Republic.

Before founding Everyday Activism Network, Jennifer was the Director of Programs at Geneva Global, where she led teams supporting the Freedom Fund, Girls First Fund, and Malala Fund.  She has also worked for the International Women’s Health Coalition, Step Up, Safe Horizon, the International Rescue Committee, and UNIFEM (now part of UN Women).  She began her career as a Peace Corps volunteer.

Jennifer believes that together we can co-create bold approaches to addressing some of the world’s most intractable challenges – and then realize our vision by implementing practical and sustainable solutions.  Her work is grounded in intersectional, rights-based approaches that shift power and work across movements.  She has a deep commitment to supporting people with lived experience to develop and carry out local solutions, and to have input in and influence over decisions that affect their lives and communities.
